Merc outfit (Fallout 3)s are a kind of armor in Fallout 3, coming in several variants with different appearances but identical stats.
Each variant can be repaired using any of the other Merc Outfits.
Variants
Merc Adventurer Outfit
Merc Adventurer Outfits can be looted from several NPC's such as Nathan and Billy Creel, both in Megaton, Dave in Republic of Dave and Justin(The Family) in Meresti Metro Station.
Merc Charmer Outfit
The male version of this outfit is blue, and slightly resembles a Vault-Tec jumpsuit, but is a lighter tone. It doesnt offer much protection, and is quite rare. It can be found of Theo,the dead ammo-carrying ranger in the Our Lady of Hope Hospital during the Reilly's Rangers quest. Nova wears this armor in its female variant.
Merc Cruiser Outfit
The Merc Cruiser outfit consists of a long leather vest worn over something that resembles a white T-Shirt (Possibly Pre-War). The lower part of the armor consists of a pair of baggy pants with stitches all over them, and some pretty ordinary boots. The pants looks like they may have been sewn together by different pieces of fabric. This outfit is worn by a number of NPC's, most notably Slavers and the random-encountered highwayman Mel
Merc Grunt Outfit
The outfit consists of a white tanktop and brown cargo pants, tucked into shin-high boots.
It can be found on several NPC's, including Sid.
Merc Troublemaker Outfit
It is a Bulky black/dark blue jacket tucked into black gloves and blue trousers with black shin-high boots, there are two ammo belts strapped diagonally around the torso, the female version is similar but more belts and the ammo belts are replaced with belts.
Can be found on many Slavers in Paradise Falls(namely Grouse) or in the Lincoln Memorial(Silas and many other Slavers) but it can be found on other people such as Evan King.
Merc Veteran Outfit
On the male version there is what appears to be copper wiring on the shoulders and wrists with a small breathing device hung around the neck. The female version only has the latter.
Veteran Outfits can be found on slavers in Paradise Falls and at the Lincoln Memorial.
Wasteland Legend Outfit
The Wasteland Legend Outfit is identical with the Merc Veteran Outfit in all but name.
It can be found in a locker in the great hall of Vault 87, in a footlocker in the common house in Megaton, a footlocker in a bed in Faded Pomp Estates, in a locker at the Derelict Power plant near the MDPL-13 power station, in the Mechanist's Forge, in a locker in one of the "Clinic" rooms within Vault 112, in a locker in Vault 92, inside Anchorage War Memorial locker in Greener Pastures Disposal Site office, and in an Abandoned shack in Clifftop Shacks. This item may also appear in random armor loot lockers.
