i get the fact that their are aliens tide to the military locations all around but why are the aliens visiting earth in the first place its not that i don't mind but why have them if you cant interact with them other than to loot their bodies?

For poops and giggles? User:Weber134

well dont know about that, what im saying is why are the aliens visiting the earth in the game whats there agenda?

They´re pretty much just easter eggs, they fit quite well in the 50ies setting of Fallout. They´re pretty much the cliché alien you´d expect from that time. :P Golan2781 11:47, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

they shouldn't just be a Easter egg it would be cool if they had a impact on the world.http://wwwgametalkwebscom.webs.com/ 00:59, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

I tend to disagree... already saw another good game series being reduced to a stinking puddle of bullshit some months because someone (read: the developers) thought that OMGWTF-AWESOME automatically equals a good addition to a game. Yes, Fallout lives from both its dark and funny elements but when it comes down to it, the game depicts a desperate reality. Metaphorically speaking, Fallout is like Disneyland turned into nuclear wasteland - not the other way round. Golan2781 12:08, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

id have to disagree its about humanity how people can help each other or distroy each other.http://wwwgametalkwebscom.webs.com/ 19:06, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, but aliens don´t exactly belong to humanity. The point remains that aliens don´t quite fit in as any more than an easter egg. Golan2781 21:56, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

not true aliens seem to be monitoring the US so then they should just come out and do what they want it would be cool to come across them up in some far out of the way place on the western half of they US up in the Rocky mountains during the main quest to search for vault city or some other vault or base would be cool.http://wwwgametalkwebscom.webs.com/ 00:41, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

You realize that you're contradicting your own arguments, aren't you? FO is (as you said yourself) about humanity struggling to find its way in the nuclear aftermath. Introducing Aliens with spaceships, interstellar travel, year 8000 technology and whatnot as anything more than a funny gag would royally screw this up. On a completely unrelated sidenote: what "main quest to search for vault city" are you talking about and who trashed all the keys for punctuation marks on your keyboard? Golan2781 16:47, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

you have to remember in fallout 2 there was a whole cult devoted to warship that spaceship that fell from the sky. things are falling down. and while i believe it was an Easter egg. the stuff falling from the sky isn't alien, its the stuff the USA, and the reds put up there.

i don't think so humans aren't wrinkly and green its got to be aliens.http://wwwgametalkwebscom.webs.com/ 01:36, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Yah, thats why i said i thought it was an Easter Egg. Omggivemaafningusername

why should it just be a easter egg its cool and fits into the game.http://wwwgametalkwebscom.webs.com/ 03:22, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

*sarcasm* Yeah, like a forty foot tall humanoid robot that can shoot LAZERZZ!! from its eyes and throws nukes at his enemy while reciting anti-communist propaganda. *sarcasm* .... oh, wait a second, damn! Golan2781 16:47, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

aliens and giant robots truly fit into fallout their that awesome.plus why cant you tell the brotherhood or the outcasts about the crash site bet we would get someting good if we could tell them.http://wwwgametalkwebscom.webs.com/ 19:13, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Call me old fashioned, but the SVGA loving nerd in the back of my head strongly disagrees to the claim that "aliens and giant robots truly fit into fallout". Urgh, guess I just had a fatal Sarcasm Failure... someone call Dr. Beat! Hurry! Golan2781 22:31, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

I don't know, il personally have to agree with Golan on this one. Adding lots of information about Aliens in Fallout can dramatically change the whole universe of the game, which was created with lots of creativity and effort for 12 years. In my opinion, puting Aliens even as a Easter Egg in Fallout 3 was a mistake. In the old Fallout for an example, the only hint of a extraterrestrial lifeforms were 2 skeletons, which gave the player only the slightest thoughts about the subject. I don't agree about huge robots as well, and besides that's a very extended question. Some reckon that a Mutant Behemoth has a huge size, while some will want a 15 floor high robot. But i think that such ideas are non-sence.

By the way, i never player Fallout 3 anyways =P Damn Videocard... K0ct-ep 16:35, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
